Workshops are a great opportunity for students to learn basic programming, get introduced to Arduino and discover the wonders of robotics. Using a programming language based off of Scratch, these workshop are easy for students to program and learn hands-on for themselves how real life robots and coding works. Our Workshops instill a foundation to CreateExplore and increase Self-Esteem

Grades: 4th – 8th

* Robot Kits & Laptops are provided for use during the workshop/class.

Workshops

The goal of these workshops is to increase interest in computer programming careers and increase the diversity in the computer science workforce, ensuring that enough young people are inspired to direct their talents in this area. By 2020, there will be 1.4 million jobs available in computing related fields. US graduates are on track to fill 29% of those jobs. The supply of computer scientists is not keep pace with demand.
